As usual, DesignBold allows users to upload images from their computers. However, DesignBold has only supported uploading photos in JPG and PNG format. Recently, DesignBold has introduced a new feature which supports uploading a new image format: SVG and EPS files.
What is SVG?
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is an image format like JPG and PNG. However, this format defines the graphics in XML (eXtensible Markup Language) format and displays image by vectors.
Advantages of SVG
1. SVG images are scalable
Because SVG is used to define vector-based graphics, SVG images can be displayed or printed with high quality at any resolution. It is a fact that SVG graphics do not lose any quality if they are zoomed or resized.
2. Every element and every attribute in SVG files can be animated
A big advantage of SVG files is that every element in SVG files can be animated. Therefore, from only one SVG file, you can edit it to fit many different designs without spending too much time using Photoshop/AI.
Where to find SVG files?
Instead of creating SVG files on your own, now you can find a lot of SVG options available on vector sites like Freepik, Shutterstock, Flaticon… So, how can I use those files after downloading them to my computer? The answer is DesignBold.
How to use SVG files on DesignBold?
You can add SVG files to designs on DesignBold by following these steps:
- Click Upload.
- Click Upload your images, choose SVG files from your computer to upload them to DesignBold.

So, now users can apply one SVG file to different designs of different styles. This feature can be apply to EPS files, too, because EPS format are comparatively similar to SVG format.
